Ko te Raapa tene ra.  It is Wednesday today.

Today we will have Emersyn, Olivia, Ella and Timmy sharing on our Video meet sessions.

You may want to try out finding out 3 facts about Bees which is on slide 3 or perhaps the slide 4 activity which is about writing 5 things that you love.  In Maori the word love is AROHA.

If you were interested in having a go at slide 8 Family Time perhaps at the dinner table tonight you could discuss people in your family/whanau? who are you siblings? what are your parents names? What are you grand parents names?  You may want to do a family tree?

Monday 4th Week 4 Video post from Mrs Edmonds

Week 4 of Term 2!

Hi guys thanks to Ali, Mandy, Olivia, John, Annie, Emily, Vinuka, Marley and Samuel for already sending your photos through for week 3.
This week we are using the same slide deck of activities.
You may want to make a musical instrument like off slide 12!

Tomorrow we are starting our "Video Meets" I am sooooooooooo excited to see your gorgeous faces.
Please check the 'do's and don'ts' about how you should be prepared and act while online together.
Mum and Dad will know what day you are sharing your news so please be ready.
I will send the link for our video call 10 minutes before the call so times will be 10:30 morning session and 1pm for the afternoon sessions.

Happy May the 1st! How are you all?

I hope you have all had a chance to look at the great work your all doing on here and remember to comment!

I have not finished but I wanted to share my 'Recycled Vehicle' activity with you. (slide 7).





No it is not finished yet but I am now making a special amphibious craft called a "HOVER CRAFT".  Did you know that amphibious means that it can travel on land and on the water!   I wonder if I can put it in the water and see if it will float when I am finished?  Maybe I can use the bath.

If you want to do a couple of smaller activities from our slide deck of learning today you may want to have a go at slide 4 drawing a KORU pattern.
Or even slide 6 will have you moving and grooving to a fun dance with 'Just Dance' a song called 'da funk'.

Good morning my beautiful Room 23 Whanau

Wow its Thursday!

How is the new 'Slide Deck' of activities going?
Mrs Edmonds is going to start making a recycled vehicle!  I have collected some toilet rolls and I will use some cellotape and scissors and maybe find some wool or string to make a little car.
Have a look at slide 7 for more information about the 'recycled vehicle' activity.

I will be contacting the rest of your parents today to arrange a morning or afternoon session with you for 'VIDEO MEETS'.
This is where I will be running a morning and afternoon session Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  An email will be going out on Friday for your parents to read all about.

Welcome to Room 23's Blog page.

Week 1 has been a great short week with Waitangi day and Teachers only day!
Welcome to Timothy, Rangi, Ali. Timmy, Lucas, Samuel, Emersyn, Ella, Olivia, Maggie and Emily!


We have settled nicely into our little classroom.  It has been great seeing all the smiling faces and getting to know each other and learning our way around the school.

In Room 23 we have the support of Leonie Jackman in the mornings.  Michelle Harding comes in and supports our learning when Mrs Edmond's is on teacher release.  We will also have the help of Robyn Steele in our class.  Our lovely students went for their first music and enviro lessons with Mrs Dowden and Mrs Daniels this week.
